It’s one thing to learn about what trauma is and how it works, to learn about the different parts of your nervous system and how they affect your finances, your confidence, your creativity. 

It’s another thing to learn trauma informed tools and practices that help you help your clients, your coworkers, your kids, your peers. 

And it’s another thing entirely to apply and integrate everything you’re learning to your own life.

In The Practice, we’re doing all of the above.


This 8 week transformational container guides you on a journey where you will…

  • Understand the nuances of your nervous system and exactly how things like your Sympathetic and Parasympathetic responses can create abundance or scarcity, confidence or self-criticism, success or self-sabotage

  • Learn and practice simple tools to regulate and rewire your entire nervous system - both body (Autonomic Nervous System) and mind (Central Nervous System) so that you can literally hardwire yourself for all the good things in life + business

  • Discover why so much of the healing and personal development work you’ve tried in the past {with yourself or with clients} or tried with clients falls short and doesn’t deliver on the potent results you’d hoped for

  • Understand once and for all that you are not broken - and in fact, most of your funky patterns are rooted in your body doing exactly what it was designed to do

  • Feel massively confident in your ability to create safe space for yourself and others

  • Find a newfound excitement and joy in working with your triggers, your stress, your wounds

Trauma Informed 101: The Practice is both an educational and a healing experience.

Because the best way for you to become a safe(r) space holder is to start by holding safe space for yourself.

And because reading a book or watching a video only gets you an intellectual (cortical) understanding of the knowledge. You understand the theory… but, we need to put the theory in practice.

Each week, we’ll meet for a live class (yes, it will be recorded) where you’ll deepen your understand of how stress and trauma impact the body, and how those impacts manifest in the 3D world. 

Each week, you’ll learn 1-2 healing tools and practices, and have a chance for live coaching + integration at the end of our session. 

Each week, you’ll lead yourself through 2-3 practice periods with your new tool(s), and complete a reflection exercise.

At the end of our time together, you’ll practice leading our cohort through a trauma-informed healing practice of your choice, and get feedback to support + expand your space holding.


THE CURRICULUM

  • Week One | What is trauma? We’ll cover the basics of what stress and trauma are, how they impact the body so you can understand why you (and your clients) have triggers and react the way you do.

  • Week Two | Nervous System 101: Central Nervous System. We’ll cover the basic anatomy of your brain so you can understand what happens mentally when you experience stress and trauma. 

  • Week Three | Nervous System 101: Autonomic Nervous System. We’ll learn the different components of your ANS - aka your body - and how stress and trauma play out in the body.

  • Week Four | Integrating Mind + Body: After learning the basics of your CNS and ANS, we’ll explore why it’s important to approach healing from both the mind and the body, and learn how you can actually do that.

  • Week Five | Emotional Intimacy: We’ll explore different emotions and use emotion + sensation to practice somatic unwinding to bring the body back online. This is where we go deep beyond talking about the trauma or just making a list of what’s happened to you, and going deep into your body to clear out the cellular imprint of stress + trauma.

  • Week Six | Radical Safe Space. You’ll begin practicing a new level of space holding by bring self-compassion and tenderness into your daily life. Holding safe space starts by holding space for yourself, and this week you’ll learn what that means and how to do it.

  • Week Seven | Integration + Q&A. In week seven you’ll deepen your understanding and embodiment of safe space holding, continue your practice periods and have time to ask any questions and receive support you need.

  • Week Eight | Space Holding Practice Sessions. The final week is all about embodying and applying your newfound knowledge and skills. You’ll practice holding safe space for your peers and receive feedback to continue to grow as a facilitator.
